Two men assaulted and robbed a 14 year old boy in Moscow while screaming racist insults, according to a September 19, 2008 report by the Sova Information-Analytical Center. The attack, which Sova just learned of, took place on August 4 on Ozernaya Street. The men, who appeared to be in their twenties, called their victim a "slant-eyed churka" (a pejorative) and screamed the far-right slogan "Russia for Russians!" The boy suffered bruises and a concussion, but did not tell his parents of the attack for a few weeks because his assailants threatened "big problems" if he reported the crime to the police.
