Israeli Flag Burned in Lithuania


(September 30, 2008)

Someone burned an Israeli flag in front of the Jewish community center of Klaipeda, Lithuania, according to a report by UCSJ's Baltic Bureau. The incident happened on September 25. The head of the local Jewish community was quoted as saying that some of the vandals kept on guard for passersby while others lit the flag on fire. Police are investigating the crime.
