Charges of inciting ethnic hatred have been dropped against Mart Ummelas—a reporter for “Vikerradio” in Estonia, according to a September 27, 2002 article in the SL Ohtuleht newspaper. Radio listener David Abramson persuaded the authorities to initiate the investigation by denouncing an August 13, 2002 broadcast in which Mr. Ummelas read from a book about how to interpret dreams. According to the book (“A Small Dictionary of Dream Language” by Hans Ernits), dreaming of Jews may result in bad consequences.
