Novosibirsk Court Gives Antisemite Slap on Wrist

A court in Novosibirsk, Russia sentenced a former police officer to a suspended sentence after finding him guilty of engaging in extremist activity by inciting hatred against Jews and calling for the overthrow of the government, according to an October 6, 2008 report by the Interfax news agency. Responding to the lax sentence, defendant Aleksandr Budnikov publicly vowed to continue his illegal incitement on local Internet forums.
