
DUSHANBE, February 2 (Itar-Tass) - A large undergound print-house of Islamic extremists from the banned Khizbi-ut-Takhrir Party was busted in the city of Khudzhand , Sogdi Region, in the north of the Tajik Republic. The print-house was found in a garage, belonging to leader of the regional branch of the party Zainiddin Abduvakhobov. Two of his associates were also detained.
Officers of the regional organized crime department seized computer equipment, laser discs with extremist literature, videocassettes and a machine for binding books. The detainees had over 1,000 copies of leaflets, over 100 books, professing ideas of establishing an Islamic Caliphate in Central Asia.
All the three are charged with organizing a criminal society, with kindling religious and racial strife and calls for a forceful change in the constitutional system.
