Jewish Cemetery Vandalized in Moldova

A Jewish cemetery was vandalized in the capital of Moldova, according to a May 5, 2005 article in the local newspaper Nezavisimaya Moldova. Six gravestones were smashed in the cemetery, located in the Buyukan section of Chisinau. Three teenagers, ranging from 18-19 years old, were detained in connection with the incident and charged with defiling graves.
