INTRODUCTION: THE MUSICAL CAREER OF A RUSSIAN JEWISH COMPOSER

The Union of Councils for Soviet Jews (UCSJ) is pleased to offer musical selections from the recently released CD, REQUIEM: 'The Song of the Murdered Jewish People.' This special offer is part of UCSJ's FSU Jewish Culture Page. Ms. Razdolina, a native of St. Petersburg, Russia, moved to Israel in 1990, and currently resides there with her Israeli-born husband.

The original composition written by Ms. Razdolina is a setting of a poem by famous Holocaust poet, Itzhak Katsenelson. Due to funding shortage, the issued CD is only the orchestral version. Click here to find out how you can contribute to recording a full production of Ms. Razdolina's requiem.
